Premium US TV appearances planned

April 25, 2006

Wolfmother have secured a spot on one of the premier talkshows in the US, David Letterman’s The Late Show, in June this year. Hopefully the boys will rock the TV and grow their US popularity as a result.

The band have already confirmed a slot on the Conan O’Brien show on May 5th, which is great news.

The Australian Daily Telegraph also says that Woman is gaining massive airplay in the US, another fantastic sign that the music is going down well stateside.

NME rate the album a ‘7’ …

April 25, 2006

Just read a review of Wolfmother’s debut album on NME. Interesting that they view it as ‘shocking’ in places, and describe it as Shock’n’Roll! It’s a strange review in a way, but I think it’s pretty positive! Go read for yourselves (click the NME pic to view).

Shows will be in Adelaide, Melbourne, Perth, Sydney and Brisbane.

Rocking in the US of A

April 12, 2006

Wolfmother seem to be rocking the US, with another great gig review from the Boston Herald.

On Sunday night (April 9), Wolfmother played to a Boston crowd at Great Scott that lapped up the trademark guitar riffs and screechy vocals.

Looks like another continent that’s coming to know the greatness of Wolfmother! Read more at the Boston Herald website.

April 1, 2006

Well it’s here, has arrived. The official-unofficial fan site for Wolfmother!! The site will be regularly updated with all the latest Wolfmother news, which can be discussed in the new Wolfmother forum! It’s going to be awesome, believe me.I fairly recently came across Wolfmother, but I loved what I heard. It was on Radio 1 (UK), which must be a great step towards being better known both in this country and worldwide. The music is just fantastic, head and shoulders above anything else around right now.

After doing some research online, it became apparent that there was no fan site! Shock, horror. So I decided to change that fact. The band’s MySpace site is great, but doesn’t really allow the fan interaction that I like about most fan sites. Hence the forum (to come soon!).

So definitely let me know if you want to see anything on the site that isn’t currently here. I’m open to suggestions – or come discuss the site on the forums! (I just should add that the forums aren’t yet set up yet … waiting on my damn web host to sort out something regarding the hosting. So bear with me, but I promise it will be soon … ).
