Virginia Wolfmother

January 30, 2008 by

NME celebrated Burns Night by seeing which bands they could turn into literary figures. Along with Virginia Wolfmother, they also came up with:

  • Stephen Kings Of Leon
  • Martin A-Missy Elliott
  • Just Jack Kerouac
  • Brett Easton Elvis
  • Shakespeare’s Sister
  • Jay Kay Rowling
  • Charles Baudel-Air
  • James Ellroyksopp
  • TS Elliott Smith
  • Charles Bukowskid Row
  • JK Rowling Stones
  • The Boo-Conradleys
  • Lewis Carroll King
  • Raymond Car-Verve

You can see a few of the other suggestions in the comments.

Anyone think of any more good ones?

I didn’t say it was. The fact is that with the band in hibernation, there isn’t much in the way of news (I don’t even think that coming 83rd in Triple J’s top 100 was newsworthy).

So I figured I’d post this because I found it interesting. It was either this or the Cloverfield ‘link’ …

Cool. Being a Lit major, cool stuff.
