Tour Tour Tour! (of Australia)

Many fans across the world have been wanting and demanding a tour and Wolfmother have responded! Today they announced 6 dates across their home country, Australia. The tour has been named the ”New Moon Rising Tour”, which I think is a lovely and appropriate name, and it will be carried out through September 2009, obviously coming up close to the release of their new album, “Cosmic Egg”. The confirmed dates are as followed:
Thursday September 17 – The Tivoli, Brisbane QLD (www.ticketek.com.au)
Saturday September 19 – The Enmore, Sydney NSW (www.ticketek.com.au)
Wednesday September 23 – Capitol, Perth WA (www.moshtix.com.au)
Thursday September 24 – HQ Live, Adelaide SA (www.moshtix.com.au)
Friday September 25 – The Palace, Melbourne VIC (www.ticketek.com.au)
Saturday September 26 – Pier Hotel, Frankston VIC (www.ticketek.com.au)
Tickets go on sale on Friday July 17 and are sure to sell out fast! All people who are lucky enough to get a ticket for one of the dates will also get complimentary membership to the Wolfmother Fan Club. Sounds like we are being made redundant as the Wolfmother fan site now… Let’s hope not!
Also over the past couple of weeks, the newly formed Wolfmother have also been confirmed at the odd festival over in the states, which is very exciting for those who live on the west coast. There are currently 2 confirmed festivals which are:
Saturday August 22 – Epicentre 2009, Pomona (California, US)
Saturday October 31 – Voodoo Fest 2009 – New Orleans (Louisiana, US)
Currently, as I understand, there still are no plans for a tour or even a gig in the UK, but I guess us British fans will just have to wait, see and sit in jealousy as the other Wolfmother fans sit and gloat about hearing the new Wolfmother sound.

Pah, fan club shlam flub. This is where it will always be at! Though it will be interesting to see what the benefits of it are.
A UK gig would be nice … maybe in October after the album release …
theres nothing to say the fan club will have a forum and even so it will suck being nazi moderated, but there might be a yearly magazine or some extra goodies like that hmmm

I think i might buy some, even though im from US, i’d like to see what the fan club is, and maybe sell them for even more.

Wolfmother are being used a fair amount now which is nice :D Joker and the Theif features in a trailer on a TV channel ad (Channel is called Dave) also a movie called The Hangover uses Joker and the Theif! GOOO WOLFMOTHER!

…you have to pay for it, i think this is something the record company demanded. they’re getting a bit too over excited, im surely not hoping wolfmother will turn into some walt disney presents the jonas brothers copyright crab or whatever, can only bad for the quality of the songs. A band where the managers, producers and chiefs give the orders… i cant conclude anything yet though, first i wanna hear Cosmic egg!!!
