“Cosmic Egg” is Triple J’s Feature Album this week!

October 12, 2009 by

triple jIf you tune into Triple J this week, they’ll be playing songs from Cosmic Egg at random intervals during the day every day this week.

They’ve already played “White Feather”, “California Queen”, “Sundial”, “10,000 Feet”, “Far Away”, “Pilgrim” and “Phoenix” today alone, so tune in and get a taste of the new album before it hits the stores in 11-17 days (depending where you live in the world). For those who don’t live in Australia, listen to their web stream.

Here’s what Triple J had to say about Wolfmother’s new album:

The sprawling musical beast that is Wolfmother, has resurfaced with a new line up, a new direction and a brand new album; Cosmic Egg.

It’s a record that strikes a balance between the band’s trademark psychedelic riffery and a more scuzzed-out stoner rock sound. Cosmic Egg was recorded by the four-piece in LA with veteran producer Alan Moulder (Smashing Pumpkins, NIN, MBV, JAMC).

All up, this is a remarkably assured follow-up record, and our feature album all this week on triple j.

Thanks for writing your ideas on the topic at hand with an open disposition. This topic tends to get skewed in many different ways so it’s great so see someone give it a good shake.

Hi Andy and James. In fairness to James, the majority of his comment regarded the value of knowing some marketing, to avoid being taken in by a scumbag.Andy is 100% correct in saying no top flight marketing pro would practice using a client’s business, but sadly the other 99% do and it seems James has experienced that for himself.I speak with people all the time who have had similar experiences to James and it’s easy to understand why he’s so passionate. Thanks for the comments fellas!

Really? Because the only a couple I’ve seen so far are maxed out at 1080p which, again, does not approach the iPad’s screen. The rest were either 1366×768 or the just didn’t give any specs at all.
