Wolfmother to release White Feather

November 22, 2009 by Andre

Following the release of “New Moon Rising” as the lead single from Cosmic Egg back in August (not counting the “Back Round” free download from 6 months prior!), the third track from the album, “White Feather”, is due to be released as the second single.

As reported by the official Wolfmother Street Team [login required] and Ultimate-Guitar.com, the band have released the song to radio stations worldwide and will film a music video in Australia in December. The song has been performed on a number of key promotional television shows – namely the UK’s “Later with Jools Holland” and the US’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” – and has been well received by critics and fans alike.

With the date of the video sessions and Andrew & Co.’s tendency to delay releases, the “White Feather” single will likely see the light of day early next year, though may come out around Christmas time. Is this a good choice? We’d love to hear from you on the forums.

On a personal note, thanks for reading my first post as a (proud) Wolfmother.net contributor!

UPDATE: According to Altsounds.com, the single will be released on 1 February 2010!
