Lost Afro – Reward Offered!

I was simply looking at a few pictures from Ian Peres facebook about the new video for ‘Far Away’. I looked at the full band shot (left) and what do I see to my horror… An upset Andrew Stockdale looking a bit light on top of his head!
Andrew has officially made the move to trim the afro which I think now makes him look a bit more Kings of Leon-ish (anyone agree?) From viewing the clip of the Apple Store gig, it appears that a far shorter afro does still remotely exist however it will be something myself and I’m sure many other Wolfmother fans will have to get to grips with. We just need sometime Andrew.. Just time to get used to it.
Far Away is going to be the thrid single from the 2009 album ‘Cosmic Egg’. Official release dates are yet to be confirmed. Recording for the video took place on the 24th February 2010 at an unknown location however with an awesome Mirror Pyramid, which I expect we will be seeing a lot more of over the next coming months!
More news to come as we hear it and YAY for my first post in ages!

Yes folks! If you were like me, desperate to hear the long awaited second album.. Well I can tell you that the wait is actually over!
After a 4 year wait, new band and further delays on top of the original release date, the band have decided to all the full album on to MySpace for all fans to listen to!
What on earth are you still reading this for? GET TO MYSPACE NOW!

Cosmic Egg Official Artwork!

Over the past couple of weeks, news of Cosmic Egg have been randomly popping up, all definitely starting the official build up to the release. A previous mock up for the Cosmic Egg album artwork has appeared in this space, which was a very dramatic but amazing piece of artwork. After many fans questioning how it will appear, Andrew Stockdale official released the artwork picture via his Twitter page, just before he was actually due on stage at the Lexington in London, UK!
I am very much liking this and I think it has a dark and heavy appeal, which might possibly reflect the style of the album. Post your thoughts below or join in the discussion on the forum.
Update: Wolfmother will be releasing the single, ‘New Moon Rising’ on October 5th 2009! The week before Cosmic Egg! Definately go buy it as it is an awesome track!
